    Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

    I do think, even if Zelensky is arguably making the right decision to consolidate power during a war, and he really is a benevolent dictator, that there will be negative externalities if not negative direct effects of consolidating power.

    That being said. What do you do with an article like this. Anything you can say about Zelensky, probably applies to his opponents as well. To really understand it probably requires a few books worth of information; but almost every explanation of any interpretation of power in any of these war zones is propaganda.

      I agree. The fact is that until the war ends (Your attention to this please, Mr Trump), we will not know the details.

        Indeed. Mosley was imprisoned without trial during WWII, but we don’t remember Churchill as a brutal suppressor of political dissent.
